Minke Whale

Catch a glimpse of this stunning North Atlantic whale.

The Minke Whale (pronounced “minky”) was named after a Norwegian whaler—Meincke. This whale has picked up eight or nine different names such as the Summer Whale, Baywhale, and Little Finner.

These smaller whales measure anywhere from 20-30 feet in length and have a life span of approximately 50 years.

Minke whales do not sing to mates.
